After almost seven years of marriage, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are headed for divorce.

Kim is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's 4 kids. Sources added the rapper is fine with the joint custody arrangement.

Multiple sources told People in January that Kim, who shares four children with Kanye, was preparing to leave Kanye and had hired a divorce lawyer.

The couple tied the knot back in 2014.

A date of separation is reportedly listed as "to be determined" in a document filed by by Laura Wasser.

According to US Weekly, Kim filed for divorce on February 19.

Neither Kim or Kanye have addressed the reports on social media.

Though Kardashian West and West's marriage remained intact following his slavery comment controversy, the rapper's most recent actions have caused their relationship to crumble, resulting in their impending divorce.

The news come after months of rumours that the two were splitting up and living seperate lives.

With the pair now imminently pursuing divorce, we've been doing a little digging into their relationship timeline and found that this isn't the first time the idea of separating has crossed the couple's minds. "He also knows what he is losing in Kim", the source revealed.

They began dating in 2012 while Kardashian was still legally married to professional basketball player Kris Humphries.

They have since gone to have three other children; Saint, 5, Chicago, 3 and one-year-old son Psalm.

Kanye is Kim's third husband. She then Wednesday Kris Humphries in August 2011 but filed for divorce after just 72 days.

The next day, he went on a Twitter tirade claiming that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was trying to "lock [him] up".

In 2016 Kardashian West was held at gunpoint at a private residence while she was robbed of jewellery worth several million dollars by a group of masked men.

She finished the post with a face-palm emoji.
