The patient had travelled to India on 30 November past year, and returned to Singapore on 6 January.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 1,04,62,631 pushing the national Covid-19 recovery rate of 97.08 per cent, while the Covid-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.43 per cent.

Her pre-departure test taken in India on January 4 before her Singapore-bound flight was negative. This person did not leave the ship prior to being tested, said the ministry.

"We have classified this case as locally transmitted while her serology test result is pending".

"Two cases which were reported yesterday have been reclassified as Under Investigation, as they are likely to be historical cases which may have previously been reported overseas".

In the meantime, the woman's close contacts have been isolated and placed on quarantine, and will be tested at the start and end of their quarantine period.

One of today's new cases arrived from the USA on February 1 and tested positive on the first day of their stay in Christchurch.

MoH said that it has been monitoring existing Covid-19 clusters for any further transmission of the virus.

In contrast with the large fluctuations in the share of age groups among reported COVID-19 cases, the study describes the share of age groups among the observed COVID-19 deaths remarkably constant. The total Covid-19 active cases remained below 2 lakh.

Of these, 59,320 people have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, including 19 on Wednesday.

"Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit", MoH said. In London, more than one in five people (21 per cent) tested positive for antibodies, followed by the West Midlands (18.8 per cent) and Yorkshire and the Humber (18.7 per cent).

It comes as moves are made to tighten protocols in our managed isolation facilities which have seen movement curtailed after a community outbreak stemming from Auckland's Pullman.
