Cleveland reports 54 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus, 2 deaths

Of the 508 new cases in the province, 286 were in the Fraser Health region and the majority of those were in Abbotsford and the Tri-Cities, rather than Surrey, as in the past.

Malaysia has recorded 2,461 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 280,272.

Poll results released by Insights West today (February 19) found that only 34 percent of British Columbians feel that they are following all the rules all of the time.

Another 7,699 people are under active monitoring from public health following possible exposure to the disease.

COVID-19 hospitalizations in Pennsylvania fell to 2,124 as of Friday, with 467 of the patients in intensive care.

Clark County reported six deaths from COVID-19 on Friday though the county ended the week with the fewest new cases since early October, according to data from Clark County Public Health.


To date, more than 192,000 doses have been dispensed across B.C.

Dr. Réka Gustafson spoke at Friday's news conference in Vancouver as Dr. Bonnie Henry took a rare day off, and told reporters 69,970 people have "fully recovered" from the novel coronavirus.

Yesterday was a big day, with more than 12,000 people receiving the shot, which is the highest number administered in B.C. a single day so far. These outbreaks involve a total of 734 cases (447 residents and 287 staff). A total of 66 cases and two deaths were involved in the outbreak, which was declared on January 11. Selangor recorded the most with 1,001 cases, followed by Kelantan with 257 cases, Johor with 233 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 230 cases. There were 252 cases reported since February 12, an average of 36 a day.


The daily Department of Health figures show there have also been 313 new positive cases, out of 2,393, individuals tested. Nine were in the north Island with the remaining two in southern Vancouver Island.
