Apple's Black Unity Apple Watch is now available for purchase

The company is introducing a new limited-edition variant of the Apple Watch 6, the Black Unity Sport Band, and a Unity watch face.

The watch also comes with the special Black Unity Sport Band, whose colors are inspired by the Pan-African flag.

The Black Unity Apple Watch Series 6 is available exclusively via Apple and Target, but if you already own an Apple Watch, you can score the Black Unity Sport Band for just $49 on Amazon. "Power. Solidarity" engraved onto the stainless-steel pin. Meant to celebrate Black History Month, the watchstrap features the colours of the Pan-Africa movement, and the slogan "Truth".

The adjustable 40mm sport band will comfortably fit most wrists, and it's compatible with Apple Watches of the same size from the third generation on. The watch's back crystal displays the words "Black Unity".


As part of this product launch Apple pledges to support six global organisations which promote equality and civil rights: Black Lives Matter Support Fund via the Tides Foundation; European Network Against Racism; International Institute on Race, Equality and Human Rights; Leadership Conference Education Fund; NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc; and Souls Grown Deep. As mentioned above with this initiative, Apple is supporting six global organizations to help advance their missions in promoting and achieving equality and civil rights in the United States and around the world, which includes Black Lives Matter Support Fund via the Tides Foundation; European Network Against Racism; International Institute on Race, Equality and Human Rights; Leadership Conference Education Fund; NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc.; and Souls Grown Deep. The band will remain available throughout 2021.

In addition to this, Apple Watch users can also participate in a new activity challenge where they can earn a limited-edition award for closing their move rings seven days in a row during this month.
