Android 11 released for Nokia 8.3 5G

It's an entry-level smartphone with Android 10 Go Edition.

HMD has announced the Nokia 1.4 smartphone.

Inside, you'll find the low power Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 processor along side either 1GB, 2GB or 3GB of RAM depending on whether you go for the 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage.

As far as its specifications are concerned, the Nokia 1.4 features a punch-hole cut-out display with a thick bottom bezel.

The phone runs on Android 10 Go Edition from the go and Nokia hints the device will get Android 11 Go later on.

Nokia 5.4 is shipped with Android10, but HMD guarantees two years of Android upgrades. For starters, the screen size has increase from 5.71-inch HD+ to 6.5-inch HD+, while the battery size has increased from 3,000mAh to 4,000mAh.

Android 11 is bringing to Nokia 8.3 5G and in future to other eligible Nokia a better conversation management, improved hey Google assistant and auto reset permissions to apps that are using your personal information. For imaging, the phone will offer a triple camera setup at the back which will comprise a 13MP primary sensor along with an LED flash.

The front camera is a 5-megapixel selfie cam. The Nokia 1.4 measures 166.42 x 76.72 x 0.00mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 178.00 grams. The Nokia 1.4 also has some antiquated specs including a micro USB port, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.2. In addition to the rear fingerprint sensor, Nokia 5.4 also supports face unlock. The Nokia 1.4 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. Other sensors will include a 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP ultra-wide-angle sensor.

Some other connectivity features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G LTE support, Wi Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, Global Positioning System and micro USB port.

The Nokia 1.4 is expected to be available from today and carries a starting price of €99.
