That decision - which will cut off the Trump Organization from businesses that bring in $17 million per year in revenue - makes NY the latest business partner to cut ties with Trump's company.

De Blasio said the Trump Organization earns about $17 million a year in profits from its contracts to run two ice skating rinks and a carousel in Central Park as well as a golf course in the Bronx.

The mayor said that the Trump Organization now profits $17 million per year from the contracts.

Eric Trump, the president's son and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, said the company would challenge the city's decision to cancel the contracts.

Adam Shaw is a reporter covering US and European politics for Fox News.

'Our legal team has done an assessment and the contracts make very clear, if a company or the leadership of that company is engaged in criminal activity, we have the right to sever the contract.

Appearing on MSNBC on Wednesday morning, de Blasio said he expected the move will be met with a flurry of lawsuits, but believed the city was on "strong legal ground" following the events that played out in the U.S. Capitol last week. "So the City of NY will no longer have anything to do with the Trump organization".

The city will seek new vendors for all the attractions, the mayor said.

On its website, it says: 'For over three decades, the Trump Organization has proudly managed both of Central Park's Public Skating Rinks along with the iconic Central Park Carousel'.

Termination of the contract to run Wollman Rink and Lasker Rink in Central Park will take effect 30 days after written notice is delivered, de Blasio said.

De Blasio said that the ballpark could vaccinate from 5,000 to 7,000 people a day, starting January 25th. "We even welcome Yankees fans", said the mayor, "It's going to be a game changer".
