Joshua Bassett is showing some love for Sabrina Carpenter's new single, "Skin," which seemingly addresses the alleged love triangle between the two stars and Olivia Rodrigo.

"That blond girl" from "Drivers License" appears to have broken her silence on Olivia Rodrigo's runaway hit.

First, some background: Ever since it was released in early January, fans have been convinced that Rodrigo's debut single, "drivers license", is about her High School Musical: The Musial co-star Joshua Bassett, who she appears to have previously dated, and fellow Disney star Carpenter, who many believe is now dating Bassett.

Carpenter, who was seemingly labeled as the girl Rodrigo's boyfriend left her for, has come out with her own side of the story, fuelling rumours of a feud between the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series stars.

It's believed that Rodrigo had her heart broken by Bassett, who she reportedly dated before Bassett and Carpenter were photographed together late previous year. In the song, Rodrigo sings about missing her ex, who is now with an older blonde girl.

"She's so much older than me / She's everything I'm insecure about", Rodrigo sings.

"Maybe you didn't mean it/ Maybe blonde was the only rhyme".

All these lyrics seem to be pointing straight away at Olivia and her song.

It followed their portrayal of lovers Nini and Ricky in the High School Musical series.

Now, Sabrina Carpenter has released Skin - a track that can only be considered the Disney Channel's first war dub. "Stan sabrina carpenter AND olivia rodrigo".

Meanwhile, Rodrigo's "Drivers License" has continued to reign over the charts and on TikTok after debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 last week, in addition to shattering a slew of streaming records.
