Apple's latest iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 updates include fixes for three zero-day security flaws that the company believes may have been exploited in the wild. The new update is available for devices including iPhone 6s, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, iPod touch (seventh generation) and later.

Apple has also added a notification in iOS 14.4 that will specifically allow the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max to notify users when their camera is unable to be verified as a new, genuine Apple camera.

There are several bug fixes for issues involving image defects that appear in HDR photos captured with iPhone 12 Pro, Issues with the fitness tool not updating properly, and a bug that could cause typing delays and no word suggestions to appear when using the keyboard.

Then, iOS 14.4 also comes with improvements for the way the Camera app can scan QR codes, and Apple says smaller codes can now be recognized too.

Apple has also fixed an issue where the keyboard may not come up in the correct language in Messages. You can download the updates by going to Settings General Software Update from your device.

Apple also unveiled the Apple Watch Black Unity Collection to celebrate Black History Month.

The Apple Watch Unity watch face is part of watchOS 7.3. The interaction between HomePod mini and iPhones with a U1 chip has also been improved: the transfer of music from the iPhone to the loudspeaker (or vice versa) should work more reliably via ultra-broadband radio and be made noticeable by vibration. There is new visual, audible, and haptic feedback when music is handed off from an iPhone to a HomePod mini. Although the Cupertino-based company missed that target timeframe, it's now making good on its promise.

Do you have an iPhone or iPad? You also need a U1-equipped iPhone model - an iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 model - with the iOS 14.4 to experience the new addition.
