Set in the United Kingdom, the film will also star Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari and Avinash Tiwari. The first few visuals of the teaser show Parineeti in London as she looks out the window of a train in panic. "The Girl on The Train" also got a Hollywood adaptation in 2016 starring Emily Blunt. The film, which is an adaptation of Paula Hawkins's book of the same name, was supposed to see the light of day on 8 May 2020 but its makers could not meet the deadline owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The story of the movie revolves around the life of a curious divorced woman, who fixates on the lives of a couple she sees on the train and eventually gets embroiled in a murder mystery that unfolds truths from her own past.

Chopra has also unveiled the teaser from the film on her social media. "There is plenty to relate to both in terms of the emotions and mysteries that I was able to delve into in this thriller - rejection, loneliness, and voyeurism, daily commutes on which we see and don't see things". Bankrolling the Hindi remake as well, Reliance Entertainment had said in an official statement earlier that they always take pride in backing up strong content and "compelling cinema for the new age audience" and they believe The Girl on The Train remake will do just that. "We are very excited about this suspense thriller, Ribhu's directorial sensibilities and the extremely talented cast".

Shibasish Sarkar, group chief government officer, Reliance Leisure mentioned: " "The Girl On The Practice" marks our first movie collaboration with Netflix, with many extra to return. We need to be the house for essentially the most entertaining movies within the nation.

The film which is helmed by Bard of Blood's director Ribu Dasgupta will premier on Netflix on February 26, 2021. "This riveting murder mystery is a great addition to the incredible and diverse selection of films on Netflix across many languages". The film has been produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies.
