Langer was all praise for the IPL saying it helps in development of young players but was critical of the previous edition's timing.

The official Twitter handle of BCCI posted a series of pictures in which bowling coach Bharat Arun was seen sharing game plans with fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur. The Queensland government is all set to test and quarantine 250 guests who were in the hotel previously, according to 9News. Only the swimming pool is not open.

The governing body for cricket in India, the BCCI, has been forced to intervene over an accomodation situation in Brisbane that left the players angry and frustrated.

The tourists already expressed doubt about playing Brisbane because of the stricter protocols and the emergence of the highly-contagious United Kingdom strain of the coronavirus discovered in the state, yet conditions at their hotel ahead of the Gabba Test pushed them over the edge. "They are also now allowed to use the gymnasium within the hotel".

'The team has also been given a team room where they can assemble and have meetings.

Players had already spent two weeks in quarantine when they arrived in Australia and had expected to be able to move freely across the country after that.

The Indian cricket team have been put under strict quarantine in their hotel since their arrival in Brisbane from Sydney for the fourth Test against Australia, which will get underway at the Gabba on Friday (January 15).

If Bumrah is ruled out, he would become the latest in a lengthy list of Indian stars who are unavailable for the Gabba decider.

However, going into the final Test, the visitors have plenty of injury worries.

The series is now tied at one-all, after India managed to hold on and salvage a back-against-the-wall draw against the hosts at the SCG on Monday.

India have had a spate of injuries since the IPL and also in the current Australia series.

Pucovski suffered the injury during the Sydney Test, which was his debut in the longest format.

The third Test ended in a draw on Monday, after some remarkable rearguard batting by Rishabh Pant, Chesteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, and Ravichandran Ashwin.

India's squad depth will be seriously tested, with the BCCI unable to call in any more reserves because of travel restrictions in place for the COVID-19 pandemic.
