Are active COVID-19 cases on the decline in Winneshiek County?

There are 329 individuals now hospitalized with COVID-19, 70 of whom are in intensive care.

Dr Tony Holohan has said we are starting to see the "early results" of our "collective" efforts with regard to COVID-19 restrictions this month.

On Tuesday B.C. also formally extended the provincial state of emergency that has been in place since March.

Throughout the province, 465 cases were added to B.C.'s total.


Currently, 6,864 people are under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases and a further 55,099 people who tested positive have recovered.

Between Sunday and Monday, there were 301 new cases, which represents the province's lowest daily total since November 3, when 299 cases were recorded.

As the province continues to vaccinate as many high-risk people against COVID-19, another 12 people have died from the virus.

129 people from outside Canada (less than one percent).


Since the start of the pandemic, 1,090 people have died from COVID-19 in B.C. and 61,912 have contracted the virus.

The B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) is now providing daily immunization data on its COVID-19 dashboard available on its website.

Guildford Seniors Village in Surrey. There are 14 active lab confirmed cases and 232 probable cases.

Rumble Boxing announced on January 17 that it would be voluntarily closing its studio in Yaletown (968 Expo Boulevard) for 48 hours for sanitization after a staff member tested positive.
