Woods and his 11-year-old son Charlie will tee off against John Daly and his son L.J., among others, in the tournament being held in Orlando, Fla.

Formerly known as the Father/ Son Challenge, the PNC Championship will be played at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando from Dec 17 to 20 and feature Major winners and family members as competing teams.

The tournament will be held in Orlando, Florida, from December 19-20, and numerous other golfers will be playing alongside one of their family members.

Woods, the 82-time Tour victor, will make his tournament debut with Charlie, his 11-year-old son who has already established himself as an accomplished junior golfer in Florida. "It's been great watching him progress as a junior golfer and it will be incredible playing as a team together in the PNC Championship", Woods said in a statement.

The tournament will air on NBC, Golf Channel and Peacock. Times can be found here.

According to The Guardian, Woods has caddied for his son in several junior tournaments and the boy's smooth swing went viral earlier this year.

The most television exposure Charlie received was a year ago at Augusta National when Woods wrapped his son in his arms after winning the Masters for the fifth time, completing a comeback from four back surgeries. They were next-door neighbors in villas at Isleworth when Woods turned pro in 1996 and signed with IMG.

It probably helps that the PNC Championship will not have spectators because of the COVID-19 pandemic, though Johnston figures Woods would not put his son on a public stage unless he felt he could handle it. "He's starting to understand how to play". Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason will also return.

"Tiger loves spending time with Charlie on the golf course, but he has a completely different vibe than Earl had while working with him", the insider said. Hall of Fame golfer Gary Player will compete alongside his grandson. He's asking me the right questions.

"I'll beat him so far", Woods said with a smile. It's a lot like doing things for me and my dad, "Woods said, speaking of his father's genuine pride".

The PNC Championship will also feature former FedExCup champion Justin Thomas and his father Mike for the first time.
