Samsung's 2020 TVs receives support for Google Assistant

This introduces Google's voice assistant Samsung TVs in the U.S. last month.

The Google Assistant is now available with Amazon Alexa and Bixby and is fully integrated into Samsung Smart TV, eliminating the need for additional downloads, hardware and installations, and being replaceable according to household preferences.

Samsung has rolled out an update to its latest batch of Smart TVs to seriously boost their IQs. You can also ask it to play music down to a specific song.

The 2020 Samsung TVs will soon have Google Assistant alongside Amazon's Alexa and Samsung's own Bixby voice assistants.

Samsung's voice assistant, Bixby, has been something of a disappointment.

The voice assistant can be used to control the TV directly with commands. Well, it wants users to be able to do more with their smart TVs and the Assistant is plenty powerful - also, a part of your life if you rely on Google services.

The Google Assistant is now deployed in France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.

Samsung announced today (20) on its website that Google Assistant is already available on its TV's in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy, being launched in 12 countries, including Brazil, where it will arrive "at the end of November". However, with the newer models, users can hold voice commands directly on their TVs by pressing the microphone button on its remote.

Searching for content is now easier than ever, as you can use the Google Assistant to search for movies by genre, director, or actor. From there, Google Assistant can be picked from a menu of other options. From there, you can choose Google Assistant as your voice assistant. Samsung says it's rolling out support on the following models: "all 2020 4K and 8K QLED TVs, Crystal UHD TVs, The Frame, The Serif, The Sero and The Terrace".
