As of December 1, players will be able to purchase Red Dead Online on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store and Steam. The standalone package will also give players the option to upgrade and purchase Red Dead Redemption 2's story mode at an additional cost. (On consoles, necessary subscription plans will need to be in place to play this online game.) The Red Dead Online standalone version will appear on December 1, 2020 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a 75% off discount in effect until February 15, 2021.

It will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC - which also makes it playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X thanks to backwards compatibility.

The standalone for the online suite means gamers who don't own the base game can experience the multiplayer at a lower cost of entry. Red Dead Online will be available to buy separately all of the places Red Dead Redemption II is now sold, but it's $US5 ($7) price is only introductory, expiring on February 15, 2021. Such a purchase grants access to all of Red Dead Online's offerings, including past and future content updates. In addition, players can take part in new Legendary Bounties and a 100 Rank Outlaw Pass.

Although Red Dead Online is a nice multiplayer mode, it lags far behind GTA Online in terms of content and had insufficient content, so players did not spend much time on Red Dead Online. This week, meanwhile, you'll receive double XP for bounty hunter missions. The price will increase to $19.99 in February of next year.
