The 76ers's traded Josh Richardson, a starter on Philadelphia's team, and the 36th overall pick in the 2020 National Basketball Association draft.

The trade carries a highly personal component for Curry, who will be playing under his father-in-law, new Sixers coach Doc Rivers.

Meanwhile, Seth Curry, the 30-year-old shooter out of Duke University, played with the Dallas Mavericks last season. Curry ranks second in NBA history in career 3-point percentage (44.3%), behind only current Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr and four spots ahead of his brother, two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry. I'm so glad you asked!

"So that was really the theme for tonight".

The Mavericks will be looking for Richardson, 27, to bring some physicality and a stronger defensive presence to a team led by offensive stars Luca Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Good luck to him. "Luka is front of mind on anything in the backcourt as is (Porzingis) front of mind on anything in the frontcourt".

The Dallas Mavericks are acquiring Josh Richardson and the 36th pick in Wednesday's draft from the Philadelphia 76ers for Seth Curry, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Facing the luxury tax, the 76ers get cheaper by going from Richardson ($10,865,952 salary next season) to Curry ($7,834,449 salary next season).
