Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's loss to the Washington Football Team, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The 23-year-old entered the game with 2,485 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions in nine starts.

Young, who was taken second behind Burrow in this year's draft, played alongside the quarterback at Ohio State University before Burrow transferred to Louisiana State.

Burrow had begun turning in some rather astounding performances coming into Week 11. Going into Sunday's game, Burrow had been hit a league-high 72 times. The Bengals need to work on improving their offensive line to protect their star better when he gets healthy.

A fumble on a fourth-and-goal run by No. 1 pick Joe Burrow forced by No. 2 pick Chase Young gave Washington the ball at its own 20 after a lengthy review.

While the Bengals have not provided an update on Burrow's injury, he insinuated that he will miss the rest of the season on Twitter.
