Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has warned Logan Paul he "can get the same treatment" as Conor McGrgeor did after the YouTuber declared he would beat him in a fight.

"3 years ago a fighter from the UFC said my name and I had to put a muzzle on that b****. @loganpaul can get the same treatment before I go conquer Japan again", Mayweather wrote.

Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa lies on the mat after being knocked out by Floyd Mayweather Jr. during first round of their three-round exhibition match on New Year's Eve, at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, north of Tokyo, Monday, Dec. 31, 2018.

Does a potential exhibition fight between Mayweather and Paul interest you? I'd whup him. The only place Floyd is safe is the boxing ring. I would fight Floyd anytime, anywhere, any place.

"If I caught him".

Mayweather's next most recent fight was his win over McGregor, which pushed his professional record to a fantastic 50-0-one of the best records in the history of the sport.

Former four-weight boxing king Floyd Mayweather has moved a step closer to another absurd exhibition fight after reacting to a swear-laden challenge from Logan Paul, a vastly-followed YouTuber who has had one professional contest.

Paul responded with more bravado to Mayweather's tweet, predictably replying "50-1" in an insinuation that he would end the hall-of-famer's ideal record by winning his first fight as a professional.

While speaking to TMZ, Logan noted how much taller he was than Floyd Mayweather, how he had 40 pounds on him and was also half his age.

While Paul may have youth on his side, his experience pales in insignificance to Mayweather's.

Mayweather retired back in 2015 with an undefeated record, but made a comeback in 2017 in a match with McGregor which ended in his favour. Paul is looking to fight again, seeking redemption after losing to KSI (Olajide Olatunji) via a split decision on November 9, 2019.
