The aim of the Italian firm, in the looks department, has been to bring the Super Sport 950 in-line with its larger siblings, much like what it did with the V2 a year ago.

After its debut back in 2016, the Ducati SuperSport 950 has received its first major update for 2021.

The premium motorcycle is a track-focused model with a Panigale V4-like design, new paintwork, and individual numbering.

Furthermore, a Bosch 6-axis IMU has been added to the 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950, while there is also ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Wheelie Control EVO as standard. The Supersport 950 dons the familiar design elements of the Panigale with its sunken headlights and furrowed "brow" of LED headlights giving it a more aggressive appearance. The side profile is quite attractive thanks to the twin exhaust, sporty fairing, sculpted fuel tank, and high-rise tail section.

The bike has received a new 4.3-inch full-TFT instrument cluster and also comes in an S version.

Despite being updated for Euro5, the SuperSport's Testastretta 11-degree L-twin engine still makes a claimed 110hp and is also available in a restrictable A2 licence version. It has been tuned to produce 110 bhp of maximum power at 9000 rpm and 93 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm.

Apart from cosmetically updating the Supersport 950, Ducati has also made some crucial changes in making the Supersport 950 a better motorcycle than before.

The new Supersport 950 now comes with three riding modes - Sport, Touring and Urban - and a bidirectional quickshifter.

Twin 320mm discs, mounted with Brembo M4-32 monobloc radial callipers, manage braking on the front wheel, while a 245mm disc with a Brembo two-piston calliper completes the rear brake setup.

The new bike will be available in Ducati dealers from February 2021 in red for the base model priced at £12,295 and in red or white in the Öhlins equipped S version costing £13,895.

The 2021 Ducati Supersport 950 models also come with a new 4.3-inch TFT dash.
