The Frenchman has only started a single match for the Blues this season, with the arrival of Timo Werner during the summer further complicating his situation.

Asked about his client's current situation at Chelsea, Manuello told French outlet Foot Mercato: "We must not be blind and Frank Lampard has chose to put Tammy Abraham before him". Before March he will have to find another situation than this one, ' Deschamps - a former Chelsea midfielder - told French radio station RTL.

Giroud has managed just six appearances in all competitions this season, scoring once, and played only 33 minutes in total in three Premier League appearances.

A lack of game time saw him swap north London for west and a move to Antonio Conte's Chelsea in January 2018 allowed him to play a key role in France's World Cup-winning campaign.

The striker told Telefoot while on global duty: 'It's worrying.

England global Abraham by contrast has made 12 appearances for the club this term, scoring four goals and Giroud's agent Michael Manuello said he will consider his options in the next transfer window if his situation remains the same.

"I am clear-headed about my situation: I will have to make a decision in January". I hope to make the right one, as I have always done'.

Giroud nearly left the club last January with Inter Milan and Tottenham among the interested clubs but chose to fight for his place, playing a key role in the run-in once the season resumed following lockdown, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances as Chelsea finished fourth in the League. The player's representative, Manuello, has spoken clearly.

"He has other things he wants to experience, is looking for somewhere he can enjoy his football, quality of life and feel excitement".

'So if he can ever discover something new again, he will look for something new.

"The ideal would be to go overseas, discover another culture and new environment".

'A new English club with big goals could also make him think because the Premier League remains an extraordinary league, which offers a different sort of pleasure. "A Premier League club with big objectives could make him consider, but he's ready to try something overseas".
