K-pop superstars BTS' ultimate wish came through-to be nominated for a Grammy. We always appreciate and love you.

"We are very nervous".

Global media outlets such as AP and Reuters reacted to what they called a breakthrough and Billboard went further, claiming the Recording Academy, which hosts the awards, has finally recognized the cultural shift in a major category. BTS submitted for 7 categories in the 2021 GRAMMYs, including Album of the year (MOTS 7), Song of the year (Dynamite), Record of the year (Dynamite), Best Pop Vocal Album (MOTS 7), Best Engineered Album Non-Classical (MOTS 7), Best Music Video (Dynamite), and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Dynamite). At this year's 2020 ceremony, they went a step further. While "Map of the Soul: 7" topped the Billboard 200 albums chart, "Dynamite" reached the first-ever No. 1 ranking on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for any Korean act in history, and also got more airplay than any of the septet's previous Korean songs.

This is the first time that BTS got nominated for a Grammy for their music. Last week, the album became the only pop album to go Platinum this year, so several people are wondering why it earned zero nominations.

After the livestream ended, several ARMY on Twitter spoke out on how Map of the Soul: 7 deserved more notice from the Grammys, and how they believe that BTS and "Dynamite" received this recognition due to it being an all-English language track.

It is also the closing track of their album "BE", which was launched last Friday. It will be unbelievable if we are nominated.

Adding to that, Jimin said, "We wanted to deliver a message of hope to the world" while speaking about the thought behind their latest album. In anEsquire interview published earlier this week, leader RM called the Grammys the "final part" of their American journey.

And see, you did.
