According to a report in TheElec, Samsung Display and LG Display, which now supply OLED panels for iPhones, are now developing the new OLED panel for the new tablets that will likely be launched in the second half of 2021. This included the new iPhone 12 Pro, M1 chip based MacBooks, and even the new iPad Air that are all seeing a higher than expected demands.

The company was adding a distribution chamber, which will allow it to deposit one layer of RGB, before sending the substrate back to the front of the production line and stack an emitting layer on top of it.

Speaking about the Apple iPad lineup, Kuo says that the demand for the new iPad Air models has been strong.

Many of us expected big redesigns for the Mac with the introduction of Apple Silicon.

Looking ahead, the note states that Apple is expected to release a new Apple Watch in 2021 (no further release date info is given) that will feature "innovative health management functions" and a new design. Furthermore, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max demands are higher than anticipated, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini demand was rather tame and under performing in comparison.

Before a new Apple Watch arrives, Apple will start debuting its next-generation iPad lineup, Kuo said. Kuo did not specify which MacBooks will be moved to Apple Silicon, but he previously claimed that redesigned M1-powered 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models would be launched in the late second quarter or third quarter of 2021.
