Anele Ngcongca, South African player dies in auto crash

"At 05:00, a vehicle with two occupants lost control and overturned on the N2 freeway near Mtunzini".

"On arrival of IPSS advanced life support paramedics, they found an adult male lying approximately 30m from the wrecked vehicle. A 33-year-old man was declared dead at the scene", he said.

A female passenger, reportedly involved in the same crash, is in a critical condition in a Richards Bay hospital.

Ngcongca made 53 appearances for the South African senior national team after making his debut in 2009.

"This 2020 has been a awful year; economically, socially and we have lost many of our beloved ones", said South African Football Association President Danny Jordaan.
