Among Us announces new map

The devs have kicked off the new account with a screenshot of the upcoming new map, and are teasing a more substantial announcement for The Game Awards. The new map in Among Us is going to be bigger than Polus which is now the biggest one in the game.

The announcement was made on Twitter through the new Among Us Twitter account.

The move to add maps to Among Us came after the game's developer, Innersloth, decided earlier this year to cancel production of Among Us 2 to focus on improving and expanding the original game.

Current players are well aware that the game only has three maps available to play: The Skeld, Polus, and Mira HQ. Innersloth announced the arrival of the new map with a sneak peek at what it will look like.

Tasks line the outer rim of the large room revealed on the new Among Us map. Yeah, I know, a bit surprising that one of the most-suddenly-popular games is now months into its absurd success without a big social media presence, but here we are.

The addition of this upcoming map doesn't have a set date. "Keep an eye out for @thegameawards on December 10".
