When asked if he was anxious that the information he had provided to The New York Post as part of its recent series of reports about stolen data from a hard drive that supposedly belonged to Democratic nominee Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, was the result of the 2019 hacking of Ukrainian natural-gas company Burisma Holdings, where the younger Biden served on the board beginning in 2014, Giuliani told the outlet it "wouldn't matter", and asked "what's the difference?"

Makes an attempt to share the Publish's Hunter Biden/China article on Twitter at the moment return this message: "We will't full this request as a result of this hyperlink has been recognized by Twitter or our companions as being probably risky".

At one point, the hashtag TwitterCensorship was trending on the service.

As the story about emails allegedly connected to Hunter Biden - uncovered from a laptop of unknown origin and through a questionable chain of custody - continues to circulate, new information about the origins of the story surfaces as well.

Final yr, US intelligence businesses warned the Trump administration that Giuliani was the goal of a Russian operation to funnel misinformation to President Trump, the Washington Publish reported this week.

Republicans who had decried Twitter's earlier actions posted the story freely on the site. One of the biggest involves the source of the emails: Rudy Giuliani.

On Friday, President Donald Trump claimed Biden had a "very bad showing" at his town hall with ABC's Stephanopoulos and slammed the network for not asking about Hunter. The newspaper writes it received the hard drive with the emails from Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani. the Chinese energy firm founded by Ye Jianming, who held positions with the CCP and reportedly offered Hunter Biden $10 million a year for introductions alone. But in an interview Thursday with a SiriusXM show, he asserted that the laptop had been dropped off by Hunter Biden, and that the material was not hacked and the laptop was legally obtained. The emails, the report claimed, came from data recovered from a laptop and hard drive left by Hunter Biden at a fix shop in DE in April 2019. The precise scope of the probe is not yet clear.

But the intelligence community was monitoring Ukrainians who it believed were Russian agents. More recently, he has released "leaked" recordings of calls between then-vice president Biden president and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko which had been heavily edited to paint Biden as corrupt.

The New York Post's original Facebook post stands without a fact-check label, as do links by the Trump campaign and numerous Republican lawmakers.

Giuliani was central to advancing a discredited theory that Ukraine, not Russian Federation, had interfered in the 2016 election. The emails were discovered by President Donald Trump's allies. Yet the effort to undermine Robert Mueller led Giuliani to Ukraine, which many feel directly led to Trump's impeachment.
