Spider-Man 3: Sony Addresses Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Rumors

Well, it looks like they're about to give it that good old college try. She confirmed that cameras are now rolling on Spider-Man 3, and that the web-slinger's next adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is sticking to its December 2021 release. Odd was added to the cast which promptly sparked suspicions that a live-action Spider-Verse film was in the works. One very popular casting rumor is that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are reportedly in talks to reprise their respective versions of Spider-Man.

According to MCU Cosmic, Sony had already cast someone to play the role of Miles in live-action.

Over the last couple of weeks we've been hearing some pretty interesting things come to light about Spider-Man 3 prior to the start of filming.

After the news of Jamie Foxx and Benedict Cumberbatch coming to the third Spider-Man movie, a lot of fans are already suspecting a Multi-Verse story to take place. Today, ET Canada got a comment from a spokesperson from Sony that reads: "Those rumoured castings are not confirmed", They are hasty to note "the statement does not deny the casting buzz", only that it is not definite at this time. As per Murphy's Multiverse, Sony Pictures revealed during ExpoCine 2020 in Brazil about the first look at Spider-Man 3. Either way, we should know more when Spider-Man 3 officially starts shooting; the movie is now scheduled for release on December 17, 2021. We promise we won't lose our sh*t if we see Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and a Black teenager kicking it on the street together looking ready for action.
