The latest release, 'Let Me Love You Like a Woman', is Lana Del Rey's first solo song released this year.

"I come from a small town", she tells the guy over gently tolling piano chords, and evidently she's been itching to get back.

In the lengthy statement then, she also teased the release of her album for September 5, which has since been pushed.

Del Rey has kept a lower profile in recent months.

Lana Del Rey has shared a new song called "Let Me Love You Like A Woman".

"Let me love you like a woman / Let me hold you like a baby / Let me shine like a diamond", Lana sings.

What brought on Del Rey's change of mind? It is my hope that this song is not representative of the full album when it comes out, and that the rest of the new music expands on the ideas that she has laid the groundwork for.

"I've been really stressed about this album", Del Rey explains to Interview Magazine. Co-written and produced by Jack Antonoff (who oversaw "Norman F- Rockwell!"), the slow-mo ballad has the same dreamy-rootsy vibe as her last album, with hushed heartbeat drums and ripples of muted electric guitar. It removes her previous romanticized descriptions of Los Angeles, and shifts toward a desire for inner growth and finding real love.
