With two on and two out, Phillips came through off Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen, smacking a game-winning single that scored two runs.

Phillips is going to be remembered as the hero from this game for the Rays, but Randy Aronzarena continued to star for the Rays in a sterling Game 4 performance.

Tampa Bay won the game 8-7 and tied the World Series at two games apiece.

Tampa Bay kept it close in the fifth. An Enrique Hernandez run-scoring double in the sixth made it 4-2 Dodgers. He was 4-for-5 with two RBI, three runs and his second home run of the World Series. Did we really make three defensive mistakes on the last play and fail to throw out a runner who fell down between third base and home? He managed to get the rest of the outs to end the inning, but not before surrendering four runs on two home runs in his appearance.

Seager's tiebreaking single in the eighth, when he punched Nick Anderson's 95 miles per hour fastball just over shortstop Willy Adames into short left field, put the Dodgers ahead 7-6 and made Seager and Turner only the fourth pair of teammates to both have four hits in a Series game.

The Dodgers had seven runs with two outs in the game.

Julio Urias started for Los Angeles, allowing two runs on four hits in 4 2/3 innings.

The contest was the type that would have had a sellout crowd on its feet, but with COVID-19 health and safety restrictions in place, only a limited number of fans were allowed inside Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the neutral venue being used for the World Series.

Solo homers by Turner in the first and Corey Seager in the third off Rays starter Ryan Yarbrough built a 2-0 lead. Arozarena's 26 hits have also set a new record for most in a postseason by a rookie (Derek Jeter had 22 in 1996), and he's tied with Pablo Sandoval for most hits overall. He then would score the game-winning run.

The Dodgers will need both to continue their hot hitting in Game 5 to potentially rebound from this jarring loss. Each team is looking to gain an advantage.
