Outraged Conservatives Cry 'Interrogation' Over Trump's Town Hall Moderator Asking Tough Questions

The curious comment came in the context of a blockbuster New York Times report that was based on years of Trump tax returns it had obtained which revealed that President Trump has debts of approximately $421 million that he has personally guaranteed and will come due in the next four years.

To an extent, the uproar was reflective of a different time in television.

"You're not like somebody's insane uncle and can just retweet whatever", Guthrie said.

Guthrie asked Trump about his retweeting that Biden ordered the killing of a Navy Seal team to cover up Osama bin Laden's capture and death being faked.

Trump: That was an opinion of somebody and that was a retweet. According to QAnon, a far-right group that has been labelled a terror threat by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Democrats are running a secret paedophilia ring.

He replied: "I know nothing about QAnon". Trump insisted that he's never heard of it, and dodged Guthrie's follow-up questions - except to say sarcastically say that she's "cute".

It appears that the president was on the defensive from the start as he tweeted ahead of the event: "I will be doing a major fake NBC News Town Hall Forum, live tonight from Miami, at 8:00 pm..."

"They fight it very hard but I know nothing about it".

Presidential candidate Joe Biden said that children as young as eight should be able to decide that they want to change their gender. At the town hall with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, Biden said he is "not a fan" of court packing.

"The American mainstream media is an asset of the deep state and never in the history of our republic have we seen such a blatant attempt to steal, shade, and censor the election", McShane says.

Biden also answered Humphrey's question by touting his passion for the criminal justice system, to "make it fair and make it more decent". Haeck, a local physical therapist and "proud mom" of two daughters, one of whom is transgender, asked Biden how he'd protect LGBTQ rights if elected.

Has Town Hall Changed the Balance of Power?

One Twitter user wrote: "This Trump town hall is a f***ing disaster for him".

"Joe Biden's campaign should pray that no one saw either of these town halls", argues Chris Barron, conservative strategist and president of Right Turn Strategies.

The president also refused to disavow the crackpot conspiracy spinner QAnon. "On the other hand, Joe Biden mumbled and bumbled his way through a debate where the moderator never once challenged him".

Biden vowed to say before Election Day whether he will support expanding the number of justices on the Supreme Court if Democrats win the presidency, the Senate and hold the House after November.
