Just eight months after his last appearance, the stand-up comedian (and former SNL scribe) is set to return for his fourth hosting stint on October 31, with musical guest The Strokes.

This episode, going down on Halloween, can be the final one earlier than the 2020 presidential election.

The Halloween episode marks the fifth and final of five straight new episodes to kick off SNL's Season 46, as well as the last episode before Election Day. Mulaney will star in two upcoming "Sack Lunch Bunch" specials on Comedy Central.

Now underway, this week's episode features Adele as host and musical guest.

"Saturday Night Live" will continue its streak of original broadcasts with a new episode on October 31. No host or musical guest has been announced for that episode yet.

Mulaney and the Strokes join this season's host-musical guest combos of Chris Rock and Megan Thee Stallion from the premiere episode, as well as Bill Burr and Jack Whtie, Issa Rae and Justin Bieber, and Adele and H.E.R.

SNL will continue its unprecedented run of original episodes with a sixth consecutive show on November 7. Lorne Michaels created the present and government produces it.

Don't forget to catch Mulaney and The Strokes next week on SNL at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
