Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden enters the final week of the 2020 election with a lead of 12 percentage points over President Trump, according to a CNN/SSRS poll released Wednesday.

Biden retains his lead in most of the "Top Battleground" states that RCP tracks: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Arizona, and has retaken a slim 1.3-point lead in hotly-contested Florida.

"I am the Democratic Party", Biden told Trump during the first presidential debate after the president accused him of being in favor of socialized medicine.

The former Vice President also promised to support Belarus.

The California Senator and Vice Presidential nominee will arrive on Friday after an email from the Biden campaign confirmed her visit and will make three stops in Dallas Fort Worth, Houston, and McAllen. It is unclear what the margin of error is for each state-level poll. Trump carried the state by about 44,000 votes out of 6.1 million cast in 2016, and the Associated Press reports his campaign relies on drawing historic turnout in conservative strongholds.

The CNN poll released on Wednesday showed that Biden now had the backing of 54 percent of the registered voters, while 42 percent supported the President.

In the RealClear Politics polling average, the former Vice President was now leading Trump in a 51.1 percent to 43.6 percent vote. The CNN polls is better for Biden than the national averages from RealClearPolitics, 7.5 points (51.1 percent to 43.6 percent), and FiveThirtyEight, where Biden's 9-point lead (51.8 percent to 42.9 percent) is paired with 88 in 100 odds of winning the Electoral College.
