I know it can be hard to believe but the long wait for an Uncharted movie seems to be coming to an end. Then he put what, now, is the first official image that we have of the film, with Holland characterized as a young Nathan Drake, with his characteristic wardrobe, the same sloppy shirt, the cartridge belts and a very "Uncharted" environment.

Nolan North, the actor who provides the voice and character model for Drake in the video games, shared a photo with Holland taken on a set vist.

What can YOU consider this first-look picture of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake?

He also gave the movie and cast his seal of approval, praising Tom for "continuing the Drake legacy" and joking that meeting the actor was "like looking into a mirror" for him. You can see the image below from Tom Holland's Instagram. "Absolutely smashing it! Thanks for the set visit!@unchartedmovie", North tweeted.

Other directors who, at one point or another were set to direct the film, include Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook), Neil Burger (Billions), Seth Gordon (Pixels), and Shawn Levy (Stranger Things).

While he doesn't really have Drake's haircut from the games, that outfit looks a lot like Drake's costume from the first game. Venom's Ruben Fleischer is directing Tom Holland as a younger version of Nathan. Sony recently announced it had pushed back the release date of the movie to October 2021 after previously announcing a March 2021 and December 2020 release date. In addition to Holland, it also features Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan and Antonio Banderas. Like most film and TV projects this year, it temporarily shut down production due to the coronavirus pandemic.
