Chadwick Boseman made sure to protect his wife, despite the fact that he didn't have a will before his passing. The actor, who lost his battle to colon cancer on August 28 at the age of 43, died "intestate" - meaning he had no will.

Chadwick Boseman and Taylor Simone Ledward attend the 69th NBA All-Star Game at United Center on February 16, 2020 in Chicago, Illinois. Luckily, even without a will, as Boseman's wife, Ledward is set to inherit all the actor's assets from his probate estate. Entertainment Tonight reports she is seeking to have "limited authority", which means she'll need court approval to sell any real estate. Many are speculating that this isn't the full sum of his wealth, after he was paid millions to star in the iconic 2018 Marvel superhero film.

Boseman's parents Leroy and Carolyn Boseman are also mentioned in the documents.

Earlier this month, Boseman's brother Derrick Boseman-a pastor from Murfreesboro, Tennessee-told the New York Times about the conversation he had with Boseman the day before he died.

That seems odd considering Chadwick was diagnosed with colon cancer 4 years ago, and knew it was terminal. The actor is said to have been engaged to the singer since October 2019.

At the 2019 NAACP Image Awards, Boseman sweetly shouted out Ledward while on-stage as he won for his role in Black Panther. I have to acknowledge you right now. She mouthed back the words, "I love you".
