Unfortunately, there's still not yet any word on the mobile version of the game and the news is even worse for other console games: the Apex Legends Nintendo Switch version won't launch in 2020.

Apex Legends previously announced that the game would be coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch with Crossplay enabled right out of the gate.

When it does launch, it'll have full feature parity with all other versions of the game.

"For Nintendo Switzerland players, we still work hard in port, but the Switzerland players deserve more time to do justice to the game and turn it into a better experience".

Apex Legends already has a release date on Steam; This has been announced by its managers, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment, confirming that its popular battle royale will be available on the Valve platform on November 4, also coinciding with the start of its seventh season.

As far as battle royale games go, Apex Legends is one of the last that doesn't offer players vehicles for faster rotation and to hit different areas of the map quicker. "This year has brought on unexpected new challenges, to put it mildly, and we don't want to rush anything out". Meanwhile, the game will launch on Steam on November 4 with cross-progression enabled with Origin. We were looking forward to going hands-on with handheld Apex this year, but sadly, we're going to have to wait a little longer.

Look out for Apex Legends on Switch sometime next year.
