Millions of "Scandal" devotees felt some kind of way that the franchise star, Kerry Washington, never took home an Emmy Award for her riveting portrayal of a Washington insider for seven seasons. She has also been nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress In A Limited Series or Movie category for her role of Mia Warren in "Little Fires Everywhere".

Actor Eugene Levy, one of the stars and co-creator's of the show, congratulated John Comerford and Lisa Parasyn on Twitter for winning the Emmy for Outstanding Casting For a Comedy Series.

The star made her Drag Race debut on the show's second season, where she placed runner-up behind Tyra Sanchez.

"To be recognized in this way this morning is such an honor-but to be able to share it with my partner Pilar Savone and our Simpson Street family makes it even more meaningful", she said in a statement about the nominations earlier this year.

Curtis Foreman, RuPaul's hairstylist, also won an Emmy as the Department Head Hairstylist alongside Ryan Randall.

The other networks didn't go empty-handed: HBO picked up five Creative Arts Emmys between Watchmen and Succession, while Netflix came out on top with wins for Stranger Things, The Crown, and The Ranch. (Outstanding Short Form Animated Program).
