The Oculus Quest 2 unveiled during Facebook Connect

The most interesting new product is Project Aria, smart glasses from Ray-Ban brand owner EssilorLuxottica.

Interestingly, the Oculus Quest 2 will launch with a $299 price tag, making it $100 cheaper than the original Quest at launch. But this time with a near-4K display, an impressive 6GB of memory, and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor.

Ergonomics are now even better with over 10% less weight and adjustable IPD (interpupillary distance).


It can be pre-ordered online and at retail partners, including Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart in the US; Currys PC World and FNAC Darty in the United Kingdom and European Union; and Amazon worldwide.

With almost 2K resolution per eye, more than 50% more pixels per eye than the Quest, it will be even more comfortable on the eyes than before. With Quest 2's increased graphics processing power, this new display is capable of supporting 90 Hz. They also improve the Touch controllers and feature a positional 3D sound and advanced hand tracking. More importantly, 90Hz refresh rate is also supported within the menus and soon gaming titles supporting 90fps will appear too. Oculus will no longer make PC-only headsets, though you can use the Oculus link with a compatible PC to play Rift supported titles.
