On Wednesday, the company announced the Galaxy S20 FE - short for "Fan Edition" - which offers 5G-compatibility starting at $700, a bargain relative to the heavy-hitters in the smartphone space. However, considering the global prices, the Galaxy S20 FE might cost around Rs. 50,000 in India.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has been launched in Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Navy, and Cloud White. But the claim that it delivers everything you love about the S20 might be a bit of an exaggeration, so let's further explore how these devices compare beyond surface level.

The S20 FE will be released in the United Kingdom on October 2, with the 4G version costing £599 and the 5G variant priced at £699, Samsung confirmed.

As for memory, it comes with 6BG of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also comes with a healthy 128 GB of storage, with the option to add more via its MicroSD slot. Similar to the Galaxy S20 series in the western markets, the Galaxy S20 FE is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and the pricing starts at $699.

The Galaxy S20 FE supports fast wired and wireless charging, NFC, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, and sub-6 GHz and mmWave 5G. It has a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and an 8MP telephoto camera.

5G UW, a special edition of the Galaxy S20 series built with fans in mind, is coming to Verizon. The third module is a 12MP ultra-wide camera. It still offers things like 3x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, night mode photos and the "single take" feature which captures multiple versions of the same shot when you hit the shutter button (zoomed in, zoomed out, a video, a GIF, different filters) allowing you to decide which to share afterwards.

Its front camera hole on the display is only 3.34 millimeters, the smallest in a Galaxy smartphone, according to Samsung. The FE stands for "Fan Edition"-Samsung is pitching it as offering fan-favorite features and launched it today at a "Galaxy Unpacked for Every Fan" virtual event".

"Galaxy S20 FE is an extension of the Galaxy S20 family, created to bring flagship features to a wider audience".
