I was all about Star Wars: TIE Fighter when I was a kid; that game felt absolutely real to me, like I really was flying a TIE fighter at breakneck speeds as I wiped out Rebel scum from the galaxy, but the Star Wars: Squadrons looks to be on a whole other level.

In this standalone story, Imperial forces are in retreat after a surprise attack by the New Republic at the Imperial dockyard orbiting Var-Shaa.

Throughout "Hunted", Varko Grey is hit with numerous obstacles.

Hunted tells the story of Varko Grey, an Imperial fighter pilot who rescues a squadmate.

Star Wars: Squadrons launches on October 2, 2020, on PlayStation 4, Xbox® One, PC via Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

A couple of days ago, Electronic Arts announced that a CG short film based on Motive Studios' upcoming Star Wars: Squadrons would be released this Monday, and that this short movie would be produced by Lucasfilm and ILM.

Pilots will triumph as a team, adjusting the composition of their squadrons to suit their playstyles as they progress, crushing their opponents and completing objectives across known and never-before-seen locations, including the gas giant of Yavin Prime and the shattered moon of Galitan. The New Republic fights for freedom.

"We created this game for every Star Wars fan who has ever dreamt about soaring across the galaxy in their favorite starfighter", said Ian Frazier, creative director, Motive Studios. Compete in intense 5 vs. 5 multiplayer dogfights or unite with your squadron to tip the scales in monumental fleet battles. In addition to regular consoles, the game will also be available in virtual reality on PlayStation 4 and PC. Use its dashboards to your advantage and - with just a thin hull of metal and glass between you and the perils of space - feel the intensity of combat from a first-person perspective. This is being trotted as a Star Wars flight simulator game.
