South Park’s brand-new hour-long special will certainly tackle the coronavirus

According to the special's official synopsis, Stan's father "Randy comes to terms with his role in the COVID-19 outbreak, as the ongoing pandemic presents continued challenges to the citizens of South Park".

South Park is embracing the COVID-19 era with a special episode that's all about the coronavirus and the havoc it wreaks on the small Colorado town.

"The Pandemic Special" will air 8 p.m. ET/PT Wednesday, Sept. 30 on Comedy Central (with encore airings at 9 and 10 p.m.).

The duo have written, directed and edited every episode of "South Park" since it premiere back in 1997. The kids head back to school, only to find that what they had known to expect from school is going to be very different.

The Pаndemic Speciаl episode аirs on Comedy Centrаl on September 30. Fans will have next-day access to new episodes, as well as the entire South Park library, across numerous internet-connected devices with a HBO Max subscription. That said, Trey Parker and Matt Stone's animated comedy will soon be returning with a special hour-long episode known as The Pandemic Special.

The episode will premiere September 30 and will be available to stream at and the Comedy Central app after the West Coast airing. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell, Jack Shia and Vernon Chatman are producers on the show.
