Oppo ColorOS 11 announced: Key features, rollout timeline and more

Theme customisation: Users can essentially create their own Always-On Display, theme, and wallpaper, as well as fonts, icons, and ringtones. The phone will also come with a customisable Dark Mode that offers three levels of contrast, and the ability for users to set the start and off time for the phone's Dark Mode. Basically, it lets the user capture and translates any image taken with three-finger gesture.

Flexdrop is another of the new features which provide a simple and innovative solution to multitasking. Users will be able to watch videos and send text messages without switching between the apps.

With the addition of a new Device Control Menu, users can control several, common smart home devices without the need of downloading individual product apps. To save battery life when your device is running low on power, ColorOS 11 lets you pick six apps for the new Super Power Saving Mode.

The battery setup optimization comes with features including super power-saving mode and battery guard for ColorOS 11.

As phones often experience lags and stutters as a result, ColorOS 11 has introduced UI First 2.0, which combines OPPO's proprietary lag-reducing engine with Quantum Animation. This innovation increases RAM usage by 45 percent, response rate by 32 percent and frame rate by 17 percent.

# More privacy and security measures have been taken as users will be able to lock apps with the help of password, fingerprint scanner or facial recognition. SuperTouch also intelligently identifies user scenarios and optimizes the touch response speed accordingly, improving system fluency.

Skipping versions 8, 9 and 10 of ColorOS to bring the version number in line with the Android version number it matches the new version is ColorOS 11.

Google With Android 11 has also introduced an enhanced permission manager, with temporary permissions that reset the camera, microphone, and location access when the app is closed. Meanwhile, auto-reset permissions return app permission settings to default if they haven't been used for a long time.

OPPO will release the ColorOS 11 update with Android 11 for the following devices in December: Reno4 4G, F11, F11 Pro, F11 Pro Marvel's Avengers Limited Edition, A9, A92, A72 and A52. The rollout will begin with the Find X2 Series and Reno 3 series, and will then expand to over twenty-eight other phone models, including devices from series like Find, Reno, F, K, and A.
