The OnePlus 8T 5G launch event will be streamed online on October 14 at 7:30 pm (India time).

Considering the features of OnePlus 8T, it is expected that the smartphone is going to be a hit. Except OnePlus 8T's principal snapper could integrate a newer imaging sensor, which could lead to better photos. It is rumored to be a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate - a bump up from the 90Hz refresh rate of its predecessor. The teaser also mentions that the OnePlus 8T is "coming soon".

The OnePlus 8T will follow the OnePlus Nord, a roughly $500 phone that many have called a 'return to the midrange.' That device didn't come to the USA, though OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei told Wired that a potentially-different Nord-branded phone will be launched there eventually.

With only a few weeks until the launch date you can be sure this won't be the last we see of the OnePlus 8T before then - either officially or unofficially.

Amazon has created a microsite for the OnePlus 8T that carries a "coming soon" tag. OnePlus has previously uploaded some of its OnePlus apps to the Google Play Store, such as OnePlus Weather and OnePlus Notes, and now its time for the company's Messages app to join in. Also, if you haven't noticed already, the Chinese giant is only referring to OnePlus 8T in its teaser video. It will also feature a punch-hole cutout design, placed at the top left corner of the screen.

The smartphone is expected to come with four cameras at the back, with a 48MP primary lens joined by a 16MP wide-angle module, 5MP macro, and 2MP portrait lens, according to the report. We're expecting the Snapdragon 865 under the hood paired with 8-12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. In the front, the phone is expected to have a 32-megapixel sensor for taking selfies.
