If you're a bit behind on the Max Ehrich and Demi Lovato situation, you can catch up via our explainer linked above, but long story short, it's ... really something.

However, a source told People on Saturday that the 28-year-old pop star made Ehrich 'aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press'. "It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have chose to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers", the insider said at the time while confirming the news.

After two months of being engaged and six months of dating, Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich have chose to part ways. "They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together", the source added.

'This is the God's honest truth of how I found out about the ending of the engagement, ' Max wrote to his 1.6M Instagram followers.

Screenshots that were allegedly captured by multiple social media users have circulated regarding Ehrich's public declarations of love for Lovato's ex-best friend Selena Gomez and several other A-list celebrities, including Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Kylie Jenner, and both Bella and Gigi Hadid.

"I knew I loved you the moment I met you", Demi wrote in part, captioning a series of photos of her and Max embracing and sharing a kiss with her engagement ring on full display. I love you forever my baby. "My partner. Here's to our future!"

Max Ehrich posted this message on his Instagram Story.

Following his posts, Max also shared a few tracks he was listening to on his Instagram Stories, which included John Mayer's Dreaming With A Broken Heart and a few of Demi's songs. "Things that used to keep me down for weeks or even months, pass like tropical storms because my relationship with God has provided me infinite security".
