The IPL 2020 is slated to be played from September 19-November 10 in the UAE across three venues - Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. IPL lovers are eagerly waiting for this season to commence.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli took to social media to share new photos from the team's training sessions in the United Arab Emirates.

Kohli is the UAE for the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). A while back, ABD spoke on Virat Kohli's captaincy.

RCB are yet to win their maiden IPL title, despite boasting of stars like Kohli and AB de Villiers and having thrice made it to the final. "I am feeling better than ever".

On being asked about how hard it was to come back after the long hiatus, de Villiers said, "It is natural to get breaks here and there, sometimes the schedule allows a period of no cricket for two months or so". In fact, it seems that we have all bought this hard-working environment.

"He leads by example, he sets the standards and it is pretty easy to follow when you have a captain leading from the front". "When you have a captain who is always ahead, it is very easy to follow".

Both Kohli and De Villiers have been upbeat about RCB's chances this time around.

A majority of the cricketers will be playing in their first competitive match since the coronavirus outbreak in March and De Villiers said it's natural to have feelings of uncertainty and doubts after such a long break. "They have done a commendable work to get the IPL going and we are all very excited", he said.

When asked how hard it would be to come from a long break, the former Proteas skipper said: "It is natural to get breaks here and there, sometimes the schedule allows a period of no cricket for two months or so".

If Virat Kohli felt Royal Challengers Bangalore lacked balance earlier, he should have been more involved in picking the team, said former India batsman Gautam Gambhir. "It's wonderful how you can get back into the groove, nothing guarantees performance, but that's the beauty of sport, you never know what to expect". The side had managed to reach the finals of 2009, 2011, and 2016 edition, but ended up on the losing side in the summit clash against SunRisers Hyderabad. The former South African skipper will hope for the fortunes to turn around this time.

Dubai: IPL 13th season is going to start on September 19.
