Amazon announces dates for Prime Day 2020

Amazon announced its Prime Day event will be held october 13 to 14 - two full days of shopping deals, savings and discounts for Amazon Prime members.

Prime Day marks Amazon's largest sales event, with thousands of exclusive discounts for its Prime members.

And deals are already available starting Monday, Amazon announced. If you're lucky, you may be able to nab a trial membership for the October period - check your personal account to see if you have any offers waiting.


Prime Day is, as you've probably guessed from the name, a perk for Amazon Prime members only.

Expect loads more deals when Amazon Prime Day 2020 kicks off. $11.99/month thereafter. Cancel anytime. The program, cheaper than Amazon Prime for an annual membership, features unlimited free delivery of groceries and other items from stores as well as gasoline discounts.

When is Prime Day 2020?

Shoppers should expect deals on a range of products (including Amazon bestsellers) and covetable tech devices (such as TVs and smart home devices), travel accessories, fashion, groceries (yes, really), kitchen tools, furniture, back-to-school supplies, everyday essentials, and so much more. Find deals organized by more than 40 of the most-shopped-for interests including fashion, electronics, cooking and travel.


"From now until October 12, we will offer Prime members a $10 credit to use on Prime Day when members spend $10 on items sold by select small businesses in our store", Amazon said.

This year, you can also take advantage of an offer where if you spend £10 with selected small businesses in the run-up to Prime Day, you can claim £10 credit to spend on 13 or 14 October.

"To further our commitment to helping small businesses during Covid-19 and beyond, this Prime Day, and throughout the holiday season, we will spend more than $100 million on new promotional activities to help small businesses around the world increase their sales and reach new customers", it added.
