"When I heard about Amit Shah and other BJP leaders testing positive I was anxious about those attending the Ayodhya event, especially PM Modi", the 61-year-old BJP leader wrote on Twitter.

She has asked the senior officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to remove her name from the list of invitees.

Ram Mandir guest list: As many as 175 eminent guests including 135 seers have been invited for the Ram Mandir bhumi pujan ceremony on Wednesday in Ayodhya.

Ever since she heard about BJP president Amit Shah and other party leaders testing positive, Ms. Bharti said she had been anxious for Mr. Modi. Amit Shah, Karnataka CM and UP BJP chief had on Sunday tested positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the holy city of Ayodhya has lit up in all its glory ahead of the mega-event.

However, only five dignitaries will be present on the stage during the bhoomi pujan event, reports suggest.

Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be performing the special puja at Hanumangarhi.

According to Champat Rai, each invitation card has a security code that will work only once.

Uma Bharti, another prominent leader attached to the campaign, will also not be present at the ceremony and will instead watch it "from the banks of the Sarayu river through the eyes of her mind", the Sena said.

Earlier on Sunday, the Union Railways Minister tweeted, "For the crores of devotees visiting the Ram temple, Railways is redeveloping the Ayodhya station under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi".

"We have made all arrangements to ensure that there is no laxity on any count". The ceremony will go on till 2 pm. "The main focus is on Covid-19". The UP government will also release a postal stamp to commemorate the temple design. The protocol has to be enforced very strictly.
