The DC Universe game we've all been waiting for

The game programmers shared the information on Twitter, posting an image of Superman having a cross-hair - just one wearing the phrases'Suicide Squad' - aimed in his mind. Now, this dude looks a little clean for Bizarro, but it is curious to see someone so similar to the features of Supes with such a seemingly odd skin condition, never mind the fact that it was rumored (but also denied by Rocksteady) that the developer was working on a Superman game back in 2018. As is obvious, these reports were true.

So I've been following virtually every major Twitter account that I can for DC FanDome, which is a new event coming where we should get our first real trailer to Zack Snyder's Justice League. This also suggests the long-running rumors about WB Games Montréal's new Batman title aren't too far off the mark, either. Rocksteady noted, "Target locked".

The list includes Alice Braga, Flash director Andy Muschietti, Brian Michael BEndis, Suicide Squad actor David Dastmalchian, Titans actress Conor Leslie, Black Adam star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Mortal Kombat and Injustice creator Ed Boon, artists J. Scott Campbell and Jason Fabok, Wonder Woman actor Lynda Carter, Constantine actor Matt Ryan, The Batman director Matt Reeves, Shazam! actor Zachary Levi and Justice League director Zack Synder among others. We can narrow down when the announcement will take place a little bit, since the tweet says it will be on August 22, but it could still potentially happen anywhere between 1 p.m. and midnight. Though there's still plenty of question marks surrounding the game, we now at least know for sure that it's actually in the works. Rocksteady will clear up our doubts at the DC FanDome on August 22, a special broadcast from DC and Warner Bros. that will last 24 hours and will allow both companies to present all their news about the DC universe (whether they are movies, series, comics or, as is the case, video games). Not unlike the Spider-Man game for PlayStation 4, those games really tapped into letting players feel like you're Batman. Hopefully that includes a roster of heroes and villains that will be appearing in the game.

Though it's still a couple weeks away, DC FanDome is shaping up to be one hell of an event.
