Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss breaks silence on Ellen DeGeneres allegations

Katy Perry stands by Ellen DeGeneres despite the backlash she's been getting after voicing her support for the host on Twitter.

It comes after the pop star sparked controversy with a tweet defending DeGeneres amid an investigation into allegations of a "toxic workplace" behind the scenes of The Ellen Show.

She added: "And I'm not here to make everyone agree with me".

According to the Daily Mail, the host, 62, told executives at Telepictures and Warner Bros that she'd had enough and wanted to walk away.

"The perennially immature satellite radio host said "'I'd go on the air and be a son of a b****... people would come on and (I would) go, "F*** you".

Before this month, reports started circulating that DeGeneres was prepared to call it quits on her display prior to mounting pressure along with also a storm of negative publicity throughout the office allegations.

Perry had tweeted that she had "only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen and on the ... show".

Ellen DeGeneres has since released a video where she apologized to all her staff. "I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought", the "Roar" singer wrote on Twitter.

"You've only had positive takeaways because you're one of the biggest artists on the planet Katy".

The former staff member said: "I worked there for a little over a year".

Ellen DeGeneres has been hit by a number of claims by former employees about their treatment while working on her show but she has found an ally in the 37-year-old DJ.

Katy has appeared on Ellen's chat show multiple times, and last appeared on the show in September 2019.

"We can't speak too much legally about it, but I'll say this, there's been love", Boss shared on August 11. "Obviously there is some factors to address, but from my standpoint and from plenty of others, there is been appreciate".

"Please get out of the "she's nice to me so she couldn't have done it" mindset", one user wrote.

But Perry, who is now gearing up to release her fifth studio album Smile, leapt to DeGeneres' defence in a much-maligned two-part tweet.

Daily Mail reported: Stern went on to say that he finds Ellen likable on a personal level but has no idea what it is like to work for her.

One Black woman alleged that one of the show's main writers said they only know the names of white employees, and people just "awkwardly laughed it off" rather than confronting it.

"As we have developed exponentially, I have not been equipped to stay on major of nearly everything and relied on other people to do their employment as they realized I'd want them carried out", she wrote in a letter to her workers.

DeGeneres promised to do her "part" in pushing herself and others "to learn and grow".

'We can't speak excessive lawfully about it, however I'll state this, there's been love, ' Boss started.
