Alexis Sanchez will complete his move to Inter Milan from Manchester United on a free transfer on Thursday.

"Alexis has had a good time over there, he's a good player, so we wish him all the best", he added.

Sanchez has been handed a substantial settlement by United after agreeing to effectively rip up the final two years of his contract at Old Trafford, which would have been worth up to £55m.

But it seems Manchester United and Inter Milan have already agreed on Sanchez's transfer. "We'll announce the deal tomorrow with an official statement".

Inter signed him on loan last season.

The 31-year-old had joined United from Arsenal in January 2018 in an exchange deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Sanchez spent last season on loan with the Italian giants after being deemed surplus to requirements by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Chile global having endured a nightmare spell at Old Trafford since his hugely anticipated move from Premier League rivals Arsenal in January 2018.

The Mail report his basic weekly wage will be close to the £300,000 he earned at United, but the higher tax rate in Italy means Sanchez will take home around £130,000-a-week.

Moratta was speaking to Sky Sport Italia ahead of Inter's Europa League clash against Getafe on Wednesday night.

After a hard start in Italy, he has rediscovered his best form of late and coach Antonio Conte was keen to make the deal permanent.
