Funnily enough, the night's biggest victor was the one who took out Strike - the first four balls drawn in the right order - which was worth $400,000.

The winning tickets were sold at MyLotto - Auckland, Countdown Cambridge - Cambridge, Tamatea Pak n Save - Tamatea, Paper Plus Taradale - Taradale, Johnsonville Dairy - Johnsonville, MyLotto - Waimakariri, and New World Prestons - Christchurch.

The winning numbers were 11, 23, 28, 4, 16 and 7, bonus ball 36 and Powerball 5.

The jackpot prize in Sunday's Daily Lotto draw rolled down to the next level with 240 players winning R1 259 by matching four numbers.

"Three-quarters of the queue is out the door", Donaldson told The New Zealand Herald.

She said even the staff had purchased tickets and were excited about tonight's big draw.

The Hastings store sells six times the number of Lotto tickets as any other store in the region in an average week.

There was no victor of Tuesday's €64 million EuroMillions jackpot which means that Tuesday's jackpot is now heading for a massive €75 million.

The numbers drawn Saturday were 2, 3, 14, 40, 51 and the Powerball number was 24.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association.
