Chennai Super Kings allrounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to miss the team's six-day IPL conditioning camp before the squad leaves for UAE for IPL 2020. The CSK training camp - which would focus on skill enhancement - would take place from August 15 to 20. This year's edition of the mega event will be held between September 19 and November 10 in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai and all eight IPL franchises have come up with standard operating protocols under directives of Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) to ensure they remain free if any infection until the tournament is over.

The team will fly out of Chennai for Dubai on August 21.

"He is a supremely fit player, and he can play as long as he is fit", CSK chief executive Kasi Viswanathan told Reuters by telephone. The camp is being organised at the insistence of Dhoni, the written permission for which was received on Wednesday from the Tamil Nadu government. Bowling coach L Balaji will be the only member of the coaching staff present at the camp, ESPNcricinfo reported.

CSK CEO Viswanathan added that franchise coach Stephen Fleming and assistant coach Michael Hussey are likely to join the squad in UAE by August 22.

"When we spoke to Faf and Ngidi they said yes, we are coming".

Imran Tahir, who is the other South African player of the team, will join the squad after taking part in the Caribbean Premier League in Trinidad.

Viswanathan also talked about the status of their South African players in batsman Faf du Plessis and fast bowler Lungi Ngidi.

As per reports, CSK will send a chartered flight to Ranchi to bring Dhoni and other important players to Chennai. The IPL was originally slated to be played from March 29, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. "I am a big fan of MS and would want to see him continue playing whether it's for CSK or internationally", Shane Watson was quoted as saying by Times of India.
