Situations like these will never break me, they only make me stronger.

Arsenal have unofficially put the player up for sale but right now there are no big clubs who want to buy Mesut Ozil.

Ozil believes he deserves another chance and he said: "You don't play 10 games in a row if you're unfit, not good enough or don't behave well".

'If I played these games badly and was then left out completely for that reason then I might understand, but this was not the case. "If I'm fit, I know what I can do on the pitch".

'I'm not afraid to stand up for what I feel is right - and when you see what has happened now with the jobs, maybe I was, ' Ozil said.

Ever since his massive new contract was signed back in January 2018, Ozil has rarely featured as a mainstay in Arsenal's starting XI, and normally been relegated to the bench, if not even in the squad.

After completing a medical for the north London club on Thursday, Brazil star Willian has now been unveiled as Arsenal's first acquisition ahead of next season.

Prior to lockdown, Ozil started all 10 Premier League games under Arteta and the former Germany worldwide, who also endured a hard relationship with former head coach Unai Emery, hinted off-field reasons explain why he has been omitted from the matchday squad since.

"This is my profession, it's what I love doing: being on the pitch, playing matches, showing the people, helping the club and my team". I didn't sign for two or three years, I signed for four and that should be respected by everyone.

Ozil added it was "disappointing" when Arsenal distanced themselves from his comments on the treatment of Uighur Muslims in China past year. "So when a club wants a player to leave and the player says no, the club must accept it unless a solution can be found together".

Ozil has not played for Arsenal since the coronavirus hiatus amid reports the club are keen to get his huge salary off the wage bill.

He also spoke out late past year when he said he would not be forced out and described how he was blamed whenever Arsenal fell short in "big games".
